What was built

LCMD's Pipedrive optimization project transformed their CRM to handle complex recurring revenue business models. The core work involved configuring subscription-based deals with product-based billing, where each deal contains line items (products) with their own billing cadence, start dates, and pricing. The system tracks the full subscription lifecycle: test phase, active subscription, billing pause, and cancellation states.

Key features include automated deal updates triggered by product changes (recalculating expected close dates based on billing start dates), quote template setup via SmartDocs for professional proposal generation, and EasyBill integration for invoice creation. The system uses Pipedrive automation rules to manage state transitions and data consistency across subscription changes.

The project required extensive data modeling work (designing how subscriptions, products, and billing map to Pipedrive's deal and product architecture) and formula-driven automation logic. Configuration included setting up custom fields for subscription metadata, implementing validation logic for billing cycles, and building workflows to handle edge cases like billing method changes and license updates.
