What was built
Prospect's website relaunch was a comprehensive multi-sprint project redesigning and rebuilding their portfolio site with modern animation, smooth page transitions, and responsive design. The project used WordPress with Barba.js for seamless page-to-page transitions, eliminating traditional page reloads and creating an app-like browsing experience.
The site features a sophisticated animation system with global text animations applied across all pages, section-specific animations for homepage, about, portfolio, and deep dive case studies, and scroll-triggered effects that respond to user interaction. The design includes a mega menu, responsive header with scroll-aware logo color changes, animated portfolio filtering, and mobile-optimized components including accordion sections.
Development occurred across two sprints covering full-site build, animation implementation, bug fixes, and refinement. The project addressed complex technical challenges: scroll positioning issues during page transitions (especially on resize), animation script integration with Barba.js, mobile-specific layout adjustments, and performance optimization. All pages received custom animations while maintaining fast load times and smooth transitions.
The site was deployed to staging servers for testing, reviewed with customer stakeholder (Elena, Alex) for feedback, and prepared for production launch. Version control with Git enabled tracking of 55 distinct tasks ranging from page builds to animation refinement to staging deployment.
Project stats: 55 tasks, 1,073h of full-stack website design, development, animation, testing, and deployment.
